Humans of Jakarta

I was settling down at Jakarta, finally. Or so i thought. Just in 2 month moving back and living full-time in Jakarta, drained me to the point i never knew before. I thought it would bring me the old snobbishness of, “bring it on. I’m ready for whatever happen”. What happened is exactly the opposite. In this last two month i’m feeling this angst, a feeling of constantly worrying about your situation. The bravery and swashbuckling attitude evaporated. All is left is the basic instinct to survive.

But some peoples reminded me again about what Jakarta is all about: The People.

The people that breath life to its vein. They play music on the street. Playing classical piece with violin in the middle of traffic jam. Giving joy to the passerby, a reminder that Jakarta is not all cold and harsh. Jakarta is we who lives in it and have the courage to breath the live into it.
